Atlantic City International Airport has been evacuated as bomb squad teams investigate a potential explosive device inside the facility.
Authorities responded to a report of an “organic material” in the main hanger that may be explosive.
Bomb crews have been called to the scene and the airport was cleared as a precautionary measure. Earlier Wednesday, Atlantic City 911 referenced a suspicious package at the airport that was checked before travelers and employees were allowed to reenter the first floor of the building. It was not clear whether the two incidents were connected. h/t abc6
