Oh my how times have changed.. Target stores will no longer have ‘boys’ and ‘girls’ departments in most of their stores following a complaint about “gender stereotyping.” The new sections will simply be identified as “kids.”
The chain responded, after several customers complained, by removing “gender based labels” from clothing, toys and bedding sections.
Signs designating items for girls and others for boys will also be removed immediately.
Gender labels will be renamed “kids'” clothing section.
