Star of stage and screen Roger Rees has died. He was 71.
The actor, who appeared on Cheers, The West Wing, Boston Common and many other TV and stage productions, passed away on Friday night “after brief illness,” his rep confirmed.
Roger was starring on Broadway in the new Tony-nominated musical The Visit alongside Chita Rivera just a few months ago, but had to leave the production when he got sick. Best known for his roles as Robin Colcord on Cheers and John Marbury on The West Wing, he also won a Tony Award back in the 1980s. h/t justjared
