Julia and Eric Roberts‘ mom, Betty Lou Motes, has died. She was 80.
Motes passed away Thursday morning in Santa Monica, Calif.
Motes, who ran an acting school in Smyrna, had four children – 47-year-old Julia, 58-year-old actor Eric Roberts, Lisa Gillan, 49, and the late Nancy Motes. Nancy committed suicide last February at the age of 37. Betty had been suffering from lung cancer and was being treated at St. John’s Health Center in Santa Monica. h/t 11alive
Sources say Betty had been living with Julia and her family in Los Angeles since Nancy’s death.
