Cissy Houston Playing Bobbi Kristina Whitney Houston Songs Hoping She’ll Wake Up

Cissy Houston showed up to her granddaughter Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s hospital room with a music player full of Whitney Houston songs in hopes the sounds of her mother will awaken her.

Bobbi Kristina is in a coma at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta after being found passed-out, face down in a bathtub.

If a new report claiming Bobbi Kristina, 21, was deprived of oxygen for up to 30 minutes before she was found is true, then tragically, she is now brain dead, according to experts. But that’s not stopping Cissy, 81, from hoping against hope. “Cissy thinks the sound of Whitney‘s voice will heal Bobbi Kristina,” a family source. “She told a relative of hers to play Nippy’s ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.’ She said, ‘That song powered Nippy (Cissy’s nickname for Whitney) through one of her dark periods, maybe it will help Krissy come back to me,” the source adds. h/t hollywoodlife
