Mötley Crüe had a flash-sale on Groupon selling discounted tickets to their farewell tour.
Billed as a “Worldwide “Final Tour,” the eighties rockers took to Groupon to sell tickets for their August 12th gig at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The band offered 538 upper-tier seats at, $29, for a normally $90 ticket.
“The Final Tour” includes the Crüe founding members Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and Mick Mars and began last year; it will conclude on New Year’s Eve at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. (The band recently added one preceding L.A. date.) As of fall ticket estimates, box office sales exceed $28.5 million; that initial fervor shows signs of decline, as the band sold out Madison Square Garden in New York in October (without a Groupon), but the pyrotechnics-filled spectacle was still able to cinch the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot Tours ranking. h/t billboard
The show will also feature Alice Cooper.
