Brian McClellen, a male model from Northeast Ohio who was found burning atop a Metro-North train has died.
The train, which departed Stamford, Conn., at 5:02 a.m., lost power which prompted workers to investigate, and that’s when they found McClellen, 21, on the roof of the sixth car still on fire.
The Ohio model was rushed to Westchester Medical Center with burns over 85 percent of his body.
Metro-North officials confirmed Monday that McClellen had died of his injuries. He is believed to have come in contact with the pantograph — the roof-mounted arm that powers the train via overhead electric wires. It’s still not clear how he managed to clamber atop the train, nor what he was doing at the time of the accident. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority told FOX 8 that McClellan is from the Cleveland area. h/t fox8
