A suspect is hanging on a cliffside after leading officers on a high-speed pursuit through Malibu Wednesday after allegedly assaulting an officer in Chatsworth.
Police say the suspect tried to hit an officer with his car near De Soto Avenue and Nordhoff Street in the Chatsworth area around 6:54 p.m. An officer allegedly fired at the suspect.
The suspect, described as a Middle Eastern man in his 30s, fled the scene in a black BMW. The suspect’s car had several bullet holes in the windshield.
A high-speed pursuit ensued and ended in Malibu when the suspect bailed on foot and ran downhill from Malibu Bluffs Park near Pepperdine University on Pacific Coast Highway. source
