An unruly passenger was removed from a Spirit Airlines jet by Atlanta Police Friday after yelling “There’s bomb on the plane!” and “I’ll blow this (expletive) plane up!”
The jetliner had just landed at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on a flight from Fort Lauderdale.
The pilot said the man had outbursts throughout the entire flight and even started throwing items at fellow passengers. The pilot asked police to meet the flight at the gate after they landed.
The man was taken to to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and was not identified.
Spirit Airlines said no one was injured and nothing illegal or dangerous was found when the plane was searched.
