Pittsburgh. A 9-year-old girl is recuperating in a hospital after being accidentally shot in the shoulder by a family member who thought she was a wild animal.
Cops said the girl, was attending a Halloween party when a male relative mistook the girl, who was wearing a black costume and a black hat with a white furry stripe, for a skunk.
The girl was flown to a Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, a report on her condition was not available.
Authorities said they have not ruled out the possibility of filing charges, adding that alcohol was not a factor.
