Bay announced that the Turtles will be aliens now, rather than the Turtles being born naturally and becoming large mutants after swimming in ooze. Die-hard Turtles fans are already freaking out all over the world- protesting the premise change.

There has been so much commotion over this, that Michael Bay posted a statement on his blog, pretty much telling fans to shut-up and get over it, saying, “Fans need to take a breath, and chill. They have not read the script. Our team is working closely with one of the original creators of Ninja Turtles to help expand and give a more complex back story. Relax, we are including everything that made you become fans in the first place. We are just building a richer world.”

That was cool of MB to take time out of his busy day and make a Turtles announcement… but why didn’t he explain the part about the Turtles becoming aliens? He DID say that they would be aliens- see the PROOF here.
