There seems to be video captured of every event on the planet these days. This sad video shows superstar polar bear Knut turning incessantly before collapsing and falling in the pool to his death.
German officials released a statement indicating Knut died of “Significant changes to the brain, which can be viewed as a reason for the polar bear’s sudden death.” Nothing was found to directly attribute a cause of death.
Knut was a seemingly healthy 4-year-old. Polar bears live about 15 years in the wild and sometimes longer in captivity. More tests are pending.
