Tennis Great Pete Sampras, Majority Trophies Stolen

Pete Sampras says that crooks stole most of his keepsakes from 64 tour title wins. Items taken include an Olympic ring, two Davis Cups and a Grand Slam trophy.

This is one of these stories that make you go “hmmm.” First of all, Sampras won a boatload of trophies and an even bigger boatload of money, during his legendary tennis career, so what the hell were all of his trophies and memorabilia doing locked away in a Public Storage unit? why were they not displayed in a designated room in his sprawling mansion?

Sampras stated that the theft “is like having the history of my tennis life taken away.”
