Photos: Is that Taylor Swift? In the Pin-Up Bikini?

These photos were taken of singer Taylor Swift in the Bahamas. I think it kind of looks like her, but maybe I’m skeptical because she looks like a completely different person half in the buff. Don’t you think? The swimsuit doesn’t seem like her style, and I never knew she was such a lanky gal :) She is apparently staying at the Atlantis Resort because she performed there on June 19. Taylor isn’t the only act at the Atlantis Resort this summer.

Katy Perry is lined up too! Would you go all the way there just for a concert? Wonder if they have any good packages? Let’s go!!!

Audio: Eminem’s New Album “Recovery” is Real and Honest

My generation has grown up with rapper Eminem, and I think he always deserves a chance to be heard, even if you aren’t listening to him as much now. I think his new album “Recovery” sounds really honest, unique, real and even funny. You can tell that he isn’t censoring anything that may have been censored in the past. The lyrics are really creative, especially how they intertwine so intricately with the beats. I definitely feel like he’s truly been reinvented.

Someone uploaded a taster of the whole album. Give it a listen. It’s interesting. His album is released today June 21, 2010.

Look! Our Little Miley Cyrus is Growing Up So Fast!

mileythug11 Look! Our Little Miley Cyrus is Growing Up So Fast!

Everyone grows up at some point. That is what we have to realize when we see teenagers like Miley Cyrus wearing something more revealing than usual- out of the blue. Our little ‘Hannah Montana Disney kid’ is 17 now, and it is apparent she is breaking out of the child star cage. Literally. As you may have seen, her most recent music video “Can’t Be Tamed”, shows Miley breaking out of a birdcage and she becomes a beautiful, yet scandalous peacock. The video is also about growing up, leaving the nest and of course, it was about doing what Miley wants to do her way.

This year, Miley has been performing concerts as herself finally, not as “Hannah Montana”. Miley hates the blonde HM wig and hopes it pretty much gets burned to ashes. Miley is looking great as usual and she’s having a great time promoting her new music as ‘herself’ now.

Before Miley performed on stage, she said a weird statement as usual: “First, I want to tell my dad [Billy Ray Cyrus] that I love him, since I forgot to call him til really late.”

Here is Miley at last night’s “MuchMusic Video Awards” in Toronto, Canada. She wore two outfits- one was a black leotard and leather hot-pants, the other was a white lace get-up during her numbers forCan’t Be Tamed and Party In The U.S.A. At one point, she shared the stage alongside native Canadian/teen idol Justin Bieber, which I’m sure all the preteens, tweens and queens were in a dream come true!

Amanda Bynes Retired from Acting

amandabynes Amanda Bynes Retired from Acting

Amanda Bynes who is 24, has been in entertainment for half of her life, landing the famous Nickelodeon show “All That” when she was 10. After getting a big fan base on All That, she then got her own show, “The Amanda Show.” Amanda then starred in movies like “Hairspray”, “She’s The Man”, and “What A Girl Wants”. Her last film will be the comedy “Easy A” starring Emma Stone.

Yes, I said it, “Her last film”. Amanda has announced that she has retired from acting! Pretty crazy! 24 is quite young to retire. Maybe she will start producing or directing??

Her big retirement announcement was done on Twitter! Do people breakup on Twitter too? LOL!

Amanda tweeted:
“Being an actress isn’t as fun as it may seem,” Bynes wrote on June 19. “If I don’t love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don’t love acting anymore, so I’ve stopped doing it.”

She then tweeted to her dad: “I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I’ve retired… I wanna thank my dad for his words of wisdom!!!! ‘the truth will set you free’ one of his phrases I will never forget!!!!”

I can’t say I’m sad she is leaving. This gives other appreciative actors an open slot for an acting job! Yay! Don’t worry about Amanda, she’s well off in the chedda’ dept.! In 2007, she was on the Forbes list as the 5th highest paid celebrity under 21. She earned $2.5 million.

Tiger Woods May Have Love Child

Maybe you saw this one coming. One of Tiger Woods’ mistresses, #15, has filed legal docs in Florida asking the court system to determine whether or not her 9 year-old son has a very rich and horny daddy.

Melinda Jannette is is taking legal action that is aimed to “establish paternity, parental responsibility, time-sharing, and/or child support of a minor child or children.” according to court documents.

Jannette does not even have custody of the boy, her mother does, and her Mama says she already had a DNA test done that she says proves some other dude is the daddy, but daughter is adamant that Tiger could still be that dude. Can you say “Hole in one?” Well Jannette can.

Jonah Hex Premiere Collides with Lakers Final Game 7

meganjh3 150x200 Jonah Hex Premiere Collides with Lakers Final Game 7Bad timing! The Jonah Hex premiere was last night in L.A., at the same time as the big Lakers game. Oh no! I bet Megan Fox didn’t even want to be there considering her and her man Brian Austin Green usually attend the home games. The star of Jonah Hex, Josh Brolin, was probably itching about missing the game too! Wonder if that many people and paparazzi showed up for this premiere? Are you going to see it in the theater?

Here are pictures of Megan Fox at the Jonah Hex premiere last night.

8 Major Music Publishers Sue Limewire!

On the heels of a major court win by the recording companies against file-sharing software company LimeWire, eight major music publishers said they filed their own suit on Wednesday.

The publishers are seeking relief and damages from LimeWire for facilitating copyright infringement.

Publishers are paid royalties for songwriters, while recording companies work with the artists who perform the songs. Several of the publishers, including EMI Music Publishing and Warner/Chappell Music Inc., are owned by the parents of the recording companies that won.

National Music Publishers’ Association CEO David Israelite said songwriters and publishers were hurt as well as performers by LimeWire, which provides software that allows users to swap songs over the Internet for free.

“The pervasive online infringement facilitated by LimeWire and others like them has consequences for everyone in the music chain,” Israelite said in a statement.

Last month, a U.S. District judge in New York ruled that LimeWire and its chairman, Mark Gorton, were liable for inducing copyright infringement. The case began in 2006.

The recording companies have yet to reach a deal that could settle the case before penalties are determined. But for each song that was downloaded with a willful intent to infringe on copyrights, the court could award $150,000.

Last week, the recording companies sought a preliminary injunction to freeze Gorton’s assets, alleging that he had attempted to shield LimeWire assets and its proceeds from the courts.

A LimeWire spokeswoman said in a statement that the company was attempting to relaunch itself as a legitimate music service with a business model “that will compensate the entire industry.”

BP to Louisiana: Stop Sucking Up the Oil!

So why stop now?

“The Coast Guard came and shut them down,” Jindal said. “You got men on the barges in the oil, and they have been told by the Coast Guard, ‘Cease and desist. Stop sucking up that oil.’”

A Coast Guard representative told ABC News today that it shares the same goal as the governor.

“We are all in this together. The enemy is the oil,” said Coast Guard Lt. Cmdr. Dan Lauer.

But the Coast Guard ordered the stoppage because of reasons that Jindal found frustrating. The Coast Guard needed to confirm that there were fire extinguishers and life vests on board, and then it had trouble contacting the people who built the barges.

The governor said he didn’t have the authority to overrule the Coast Guard’s decision, though he said he tried to reach the White House to raise his concerns.

“They promised us they were going to get it done as quickly as possible,” he said. But “every time you talk to someone different at the Coast Guard, you get a different answer.”

After Jindal strenuously made his case, the barges finally got the go-ahead today to return to the Gulf and get back to work, after more than 24 hours of sitting idle.
