SAN PEDRO, CA. (THECOUNT) — An explosion rocked San Pedro, CA Monday morning after an inclosed semi-trailer hauling vehicles caught fire.

The explosion was reported Monday morning around 9:45 a.m. at the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, near Terminal Island, officials said.

The explosion was first reported around 9:45 a.m. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a big rig that was transporting vehicles caught fire, causing some sort of an explosion. No injuries were reported, however, fire officials said that one person was evaluated by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics, reports FOXLA.

LAFD personnel are examining one nearby apartment building that has four apartments with broken windows.

The fire was put out shortly after 10 a.m., officials said.
