WATERTOWN, WI. (THECOUNT) — Jasmine Saxby, of Watertown, WI, has been identified as the victim in a fatal car crash Wednesday.

Saxby, 19, was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle when the fatal WI-26 collision occurred after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Watertown.

The victim was a passenger in an SUV when it was struck by another vehicle, causing it to burst into flames on Highway 26, near High Road & Ebenezer Drive, Watertown, WI.

Saxby was killed when the Ford Festiva in which she was a passenger came into contact with a Mitsubishi Eclipse, causing the Festiva to catch on fire on State Highway 26, just south of High Road and north of Ebenezer Drive in the Town of Watertown.

Saxby remained inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Jefferson County Crash Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash, reported DailyUnion.
