CANBY, OR. (THECOUNT) — Mark Leo Gregory Gago has been identified as the suspect shot dead by Clackamas County deputies late Saturday night after murdering three individuals, including a 9-month-old girl.

In a scene that authorities described as “horrible,” Gago, 42, was apparently attempting to kill another child when he was shot and killed by deputies at the scene. That child’s life was saved, officials said.

The homicide victims were identified Sunday morning as Olivia Lynn Rose Gago, 9 months old; Shaina E. Sweitzer, 31; Jerry William Bremer, 66; and 64-year-old, Pamela Denise.

According to early reports, the domestic violence incident happened close to 10:15 p.m. Saturday at a home in the 32000 block of South Barlow Road, reports KGW.

The surviving child and an unidentified adult female were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Authorities were investigating the incident as “extreme domestic violence.”

No possible motive in the deadly shooting was provided by officials.
