NEWARK, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Patricia Gamarra, 62, Mary Buchan, 55, Patricia Buchan, 28, Bridget Buchan, 23, Natacha Smith, 43 – who is the mother of the victim – and Homer Searcy, 39, were all arrested and charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

The six were arrested in Newark, NJ, and accused of severely beating a 3-year-old boy with a belt, fists, and by pouring hot water on him, as a form of “corporal punishment, according to the prosecutor’s office.

The suspects are scheduled to make their first court appearance Thursday.

All live in the same house in Newark and are currently being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility. source
