UNION, SC. (THECOUNT) — Christian Dartagnan Johnson has been identified as the teenager shot dead by a fellow teen in an alleged Union, NC, robbery attempt.

Chandler Stone Gatliff, 19, (pictured,) shot and killed Johnson, also 19, in an alleged robbery attempt, according to a report from the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called about 9:30 p.m. Sunday to a report of a shooting and a victim lying in the road on Lockhart Highway, in Union, SC.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered Johnson suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

The victim later died at the scene, according to the coroner.

Gatliff remained at the scene and informed deputies he had shot Johnson, according to Union County officials.

Gatliff’s father told deputies that his son shot Johnson when Johnson tried to rob him, according to the incident report. The report said the shooting happened at Gatliff’s home. source

The gun used was found in the back of a truck parked in the driveway, the report said.

Gatliff is charged with murder, officials said.
