Joel Monegro has been named as the suspect in the murder of a 28-year-old Lawrence, MA., woman Monday afternoon.
Monegro, 32, is accused of stabbing his wife, Yesenia Torres Monegro, in their Doyle Street home.

Police responded to the house around 5 p.m. and found the couple suffering from stab wounds from an apparent knife fight between the two. Both were sent to the hospital, where Torres later died. source
Monegro was arraigned via his hospital bed Tuesday afternoon. He pleaded not guilty to charges related to the killing of Torres.
Police did not explain why he was hospitalized.
