Angela, 31, and Joey, 35, both of Prairieville, were arrested in the crash that killed 5-year-old Gonzales girl, Addisyn Teekell.

Initially, investigators say Joey Gaudet told them he was driving and trying to turn left on to Mire Road from Highway 621 when he hit a vehicle driven by Benjamin Teekell, 32, head-on. He claimed Angela Gaudet was in the passenger seat, but investigators with Louisiana State Police found that their injuries were not consistent with Joey Gaudet’s claim. Police say that evidence collected and witness statements confirmed that Angela Gaudet was driving, and toxicology results confirm that she was impaired at the time of the crash. source

Addisyn Teekell was transported to a hospital after the crash where she later died. Her sister, Ashtyn, was also injured in the crash.
