A shooting at a Henderson NV Terrible Herbst gas station has left one person dead and two others injured Friday.

The suspect, 22-year-old Rafael Valdez, an employee at the minimarket, was booked on one count of murder with a deadly weapon, two counts of attempted murder and three counts of attempted robbery.

After the shooting, the victims, who are also employees, said Valdez ran away. He was found and arrested on the 2800 block of North Green Valley Parkway, near the Chase Bank.

One of the victims later died at the hospital, police said. Family members told FOX5 the victim’s name was Zachary Ragusa (pictured below on Facebook.)

Two of the victims were transported to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition, according to police. The third victim was transported to Henderson Hospital with gunshot wounds.

His family said he was 18 years old who worked at Terrible Herbst as a smog check technician. They said he loved playing hockey, listening to heavy metal and watching the New York Jets. He was an honor student, a Christian and had no enemies, they said.

Authorities said they did not believe there was a second suspect and said no threat remained to the public.
