Virgin Galactic won’t be taking Kutcher and other sign-ups to space just yet though, as VG is still in the ‘final test flight stages’. The company has not only been in that ‘test flight stage’ for some years now, but VG has also been taking sign-ups since 2007!

To be apart of a voyage, you have to pay $200k per person, with a $20k deposit, to get a spot on the plane, and it’s unclear what the other qualifications one must have to be allowed on the flight- surely there are some!

Branson wrote on his blog, “I gave Ashton a quick call to congratulate and welcome him. He is as thrilled as we are at the prospect of being among the first to cross the final frontier (and back!) with us and to experience the magic of space for himself.”

Branson also tweeted Kutcher, who retweeted the message: “Welcome on board @aplusk – @virgingalactic’s 500th future astronaut! See you up in space Ashton?”

Other stars who have signed up, are former “Dallas” star Victoria Principal, who hopes to be apart of the first major voyage, and says that the ‘passengers for the first major voyage will picked at random’.

Russell Brand is rumored to have signed up, and other stars who have voiced their interest in joining the voyage are Physicist Stephen Hawking and Tom Hanks.
