Large Explosion Rocks Houston Friday Morning Felt ‘For Several Miles’

HOUSTON, TX. (THECOUNT) — A massive explosion has rocked residents out of bed Friday morning in northwest Houston, according to multiple reports.

The large booming occurred around 4:25 a.m. and originated in the 4500 block of Gessner Rd.

It’s not clear what happened but the blast was felt for several miles, reports ABC13.

Columbus police are searching for Raheem McClam, the driver they say was involved in January’s fatal Steam Mill Rd, Columbus, GA., crash.

McClam, 19, is suspected of causing a crash that killed 31-year-old Claudia Johnson and injured six others, two of whom are still hospitalized.

The Columbus Police Department Motor Squad has issued multiple warrants for his arrest, including Homicide-1st Degree, two counts of Serious Injury, one count of Reckless Driving, one count of Speeding (84/35 MPH) and other smaller offenses. Continue reading

NJ Jets Player Who Walked Again After Breaking Neck KILLED In Car Crash

Dennis Byrd, the former NFL star who inspired countless fans by vowing to walk again after a broken neck, and did, was killed in a car crash in Oklahoma Saturday.

Byrd, 50, died when a Ford Explorer driven by a 17-year-old crashed head-on into his H2 Hummer. The crash occurred on Oklahoma 88 north of Claremore.


The crash sent two others to the hospital. The teenage driver and a 12-year-old passenger in Byrd’s vehicle. Both were in critical condition, said Tulsa World. Continue reading
