PA Man Derelle Williams ID’d As Victim In Tuesday Night Pittsburgh Fatal Motorcycle Crash

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA. (THECOUNT) — Derelle Williams, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday night motorcycle crash in Allegheny County.

Williams, 32, was killed in a single-motorcycle crash near Pittsburgh Tuesday night.

According to reports, Williams was operating a motorcycle on Milwaukee Street near Bryn Mawr Road in Pittsburgh, when for unknown reasons, the bike wrecked around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Williams was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Pittsburgh City Bus ‘Upended’ After Crashes Into Downtown Sinkhole Monday Morning

PITTSBURGH, PA. (THECOUNT) — Emergency crews are on the scene in downtown Pittsburgh, PA, on reports a city bus crashed into a massive sinkhole Monday morning, according to reports.

Crew were seen Monday morning attempting to remove a Port Authority bus out of a large sinkhole.

The accident happened at Penn Avenue and 10th Street, near the Westin Hotel, reports LocalCBS.

The back of the bus could be seen “upended” into the large sinkhole.

The cause of the massive sinkhole has not yet been provided by officials.

PA Woman Ciara Eiriz ID’d As Jet Skier Killed In Hilton Head Island SC Collision Tuesday

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC. (THECOUNT) — Ciara Eiriz of Pittsburg, PA, has been identified as the jet skier killed in a collision near Hilton Head Island, SC on Tuesday afternoon.

Eiriz, 20, was operating a jet ski when it was involved in a collision with another watercraft at about 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

Eiriz was pronounced dead by the coroner on Pinckney Island.

Investigators said two jet skis collided in the water between Pinckney Island and Hilton Head Island, reports WTAE.

Reports show one other person was involved, but authorities did not include details about that person’s condition.

The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources investigated the incident.

PA 7-Year-Old Killed Waiting For Pittsburgh School Bus In Thursday Hit-And-Run

PITTSBURGH, PA. (THECOUNT) — A driver in the central Pennsylvania area struck and killed a young boy Thurdsay morning as he wait for his school bus to arrive. The driver left the injured boy and fled the scene, according to reports.

The school district has since announced that the boy was a 2nd grader at Tyrone Elementary School. The district is providing counseling all day for students and staff members.

The 7-year-old boy was reportedly discovered deceased at a bus stop in central Pennsylvania this morning of blunt force trauma caused by a hit-and-run driver.

WTAJ reports that the boy was found dead in Franklin Township in Huntingdon County.

State police say the boy’s body was found just after 7 a.m. along Huntington Furnace Road by a bus driver from the Tyrone School District. Continue reading

5 Dead In Wilkinsburg PA Mass Shooting

At least five people, four females and one man, are repeatedly dead after a mass shooting happened at a party in the eastern Pittsburgh suburb of Wilkinsburg Wednesday night. At least seven were struck.

Neighbors said they heard at least 25 shots coming from several different directions. Arriving police found dozens of shell cases. Four men were said to have fled the scene. No one is in custody.

TV5 Anchor Sam Merrill Collapses At Home Dies

Sam Merrill, beloved anchor and the face of TV5 news for two decades, collapsed in his home and died Thursday. He leaves behind his wife, Katy, and son, James, who was born in April, 2011.

Merrill anchored “Action News This Morning” for WTAE. He returned to mid-Michigan in March of 2002.

He collapsed at home today, and passed away, leaving behind his beloved wife, Katy, and son, James.

Sam first appeared on your screens in 1990. He left for a short time to work in his boyhood home of Pittsburgh but returned in 2002.

Many of you knew him not only during his time on your TV screen, but through the various boards and community groups he was a part of.

The brother of Olympic gold medal winner, Kurt Angle has been arrested and charged with killing his wife in an argument over vodka.

David Angle, 62, confessed to homicide detectives that he began arguing with his wife, Donna Angle, 57, about 3 a.m. Sunday over a drink of vodka.

There is a developing emergency situation as four buildings at Western Connecticut State University’s main campus in Danbury have been evacuated and placed on lockdown after an emailed bomb threat.

The threat on campus has necessitated the evacuation of several buildings.

Suicide Bomber AMERICA

A man blew himself up inside a truck outside a western Pennsylvania home on Tuesday after strapping explosives to his chest. The resulting blast killed the man and injured two other people sending one of them to the hospital with critical injuries, in what authorities are calling America’s first suicide bomber…


Investigators ruled the death of 40-year-old Brad Kollar a suicide resulting from blunt force trauma after the blast shortly before 9 a.m.


His body was discovered strapped with bombs and inside his truck that was parked outside a home near Patton, about 70 miles east of Pittsburgh.


Apparently, Kollar was after the home’s owner, 44-year-old William Shaner, who was inside the building at the time of the blast and was taken to an area hospital and later flown to a larger General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He was listed in critical condition.


Police are still combing through what remains of a house that exploded in Clearfield Township, Pennsylvania.
