AZ Man Edward Steven Sanchez ID’d As Victim In Saturday Night Glendale Police-Involved Motorcycle Crash

GLENDALE, AZ. (THECOUNT) — Edward Steven Sanchez, of Glendale, Arizona, has been identified as the victim in a crash involving a motorcycle and a Glendale police unit Saturday evening.

According to police, just before 10 p.m., “Eddie” Sanchez, 41, was operating a motorcycle traveling on Grand Avenue when he made contact with a Glendale police cruiser performing a left hand turn.

The unidentified officer was stopped at a traffic light northwest on Grand Avenue at Myrtle Avenue, when he turned on a green arrow and struck Sanchez, who was traveling in the opposite direction.

Sanchez was thrown from the bike during the collision and suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries.

The Glendale officer, who was uninjured, administered care for the victim until EMS arrived.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police say there are no indications that the officer was responding with lights or had sirens activated at the time of the incident. Continue reading

KTLA Anchor Chris Burrous Found Dead In Glendale Days Inn Motel Room

GLENDALE, CA. (THECOUNT) — KTLA Channel 5 Los Angeles, weekend anchor, Chris Burrous, has been identified as the victim found lifeless in a motel room in Glendale Thursday.

Burrous, 43, was discovered not breathing inside a Glendale, Days Inn motel room, located at, 450 Pioneer Drive, in Glendale, CA, reports say.

CPR was administered and Burrous was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities did not provide a cause of death.

Police received a call about 1:15 p.m. from a man who said a man he was with at the Days Inn, located at 450 Pioneer Drive, had passed out and was possibly not breathing, according to Sgt. Dan Suttles of the Glendale Police Department. Continue reading

NFL Slams Patriots With $1M Fine Draft Picks Brady 4 Game Suspension

Talk about throwing the book at the Patriots! The NFL just announced that New England’s quarterback Tom Brady will be suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2015 season!

The Patriots have also been fined $1 million and will lose their 2016 first-round draft pick and 2017 fourth-round draft pick as a result of the sanctions. OUCH!



Taraji P. Henson: Thank You To That Officer For Being Kind To My Son

Taraji P. Henson just issued an apology to the same police officer she had earlier accused of racism.

The “Empire” star had accused a Glendale cop of profiling her son during a traffic stop, but Glendale cops retorted by releasing dash cam video of the stop, which depicts the world’s most polite traffic stop, in other words, the cop could not have been nicer. Taraji’s son, Marcel Johnson was stopped over a crosswalk violation and possession of Ritalin without a prescription.
