AL Man Tanner Hamilton ID’d As Victim In Wednesday Night Rogersville Fatal Motorcycle Collision

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, AL. (THECOUNT) — Tanner Dale Hamilton, of Florence, Alabama, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday night motorcycle crash in Lauderdale County.

Hamilton, 23, was killed in a motorcycle-versus-vehicle crash near Rogersville Wednesday night.

According to reports, Hamilton was operating a Honda CBR 1000, when the bike came into contact with a Toyota Camry on US-72 near CR-113 Wednesday night around 6:30 p.m.

The operator of the Camry was not injured in the collision.

Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

One Dead In Police-Involved Shooting At Florence SC Airport Sunday Morning

FLORENCE, SC. (THECOUNT) — One person has been fatally shot in an officer-involved shooting at the Florence Airport, in South Carolina, Sunday morning, according to the Florence County coroner.

A large police presence was spotted on the scene near the Florence Regional Airport Sunday morning, according to Tommy Crosby, with SLED.

Every entrance and exit to the airport was blocked, reports WPDE.

The SLED is working with local law enforcement and is investigating the incident.

IL Man Tyran Bolling ID’d As Victim In Friday Morning Fatal Hammond Shooting

HAMMOND, IL. (THECOUNT) — Tyran Bolling has been identified as the victim in a Friday shooting in Hammond, Illinois, according to multiple reports.

Bolling, 25, was found suffering from at least one gunshot injury early Friday on Henry Ave., according to police.

Hammond Lt. Steven Kellogg said officers responded to the 4400 block of Henry Ave., about 12:15 a.m. and found an injured Tyran Bolling, who was laying on the ground in front of a home there.

Kellogg said Bolling, of Evergreen Park, Illinois, had been shot several times, but was still awake and talking with police.

Bolling was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.

“The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released when available,” Kellogg said in a release Friday.

SC Teen Jordan Stackhouse ID’d As Bicyclist Struck In Fatal Saturday Hit-And-Run Collision

FLORENCE, SC. (THECOUNT) — Jordan Stackhouse has been identified as the bicyclist struck late Saturday night in Florence, South Carolina.

Stackhouse, 19, was biking in the area of 200 S Cashua Dr, in Florence, near Krispy Kreme, when he was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle, according to officials.

The victim suffered multiple blunt force injuries in the collision and was transported to an area hospital.

Stackhouse was later pronounced dead as a result of injuries suffered in the collision.

Police say, the driver did not stop following the collision and left the victim injured in the roadway.

The suspect was apprehended a short time later, according to a report.

Charges are expected to be filed in the coming days.

A Stackhouse autopsy is scheduled later this week.

According to the Florence County Coroners Office 19-year-old Jordan Stackhouse was biking in the vicinity of the 2000 block of South Cashua Drive before he was hit by the car. Officials say Stackhouse was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. Continue reading

AL State Trooper Jason William Hewett ID’d As Victim In Monday Fatal Florence Pedestrian Collision

FLORENCE, AL. (THECOUNT) — Jason William Hewett has been identified as the off-duty Alabama State Trooper struck and killed by a pickup truck Monday morning in Florence.

Hewett, 34, was walking on County Road 137, in Florence, AL, just before 9 a.m. Monday when he was hit by the pickup truck.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision.

Florence Man ID’d As Suspect In Deadly SC Shootout That Killed Police Officer Injured Several

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) – Fred Hopkins has been identified as the shooter in a Wednesday active shooter standoff in Florence County, South Carolina Wednesday.

Hopkins, 74, resides at the home on Ashton Drive where the incident occurred. He suffered a head injury and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A City of Florence spokesman said that Officer Terrence Carraway was fatally shot during an active shooter standoff in Florence County, South Carolina Wednesday.

A male suspect is inside of a home at this time, according to authorities.

A Twitter post said that “Due to a high priority call in Vintage Place off of Hoffmeyer Rd in Florence. There is an active shooter incident in progress at this time. Colorado Bowling Alley Owner Killed After Becoming Stuck In Pin Setting Machine

FLORENCE, CO. (THECOUNT) — Ector Rodriguez, the owner of Fremont Lanes, in Florence, Colorado, was killed after getting stuck the bowling alley pin setting machine.

Rodriguez, 65, was fatally injured after he became stuck in the machine used to automatically reset the bowling pins between player turns.

When first responder arrived, they found Rodriguez, of Penrose, CO, unconscious and not breathing.

KY Man Who Left Young Son In Truck ARRESTED

Nathaniel Galloway, the Florence, KY., man who got caught on video leaving his child unattended in his pickup truck, was arrested and is now facing charges.

Mark Herrmann shot the video and then dropped a dime to Florence authorities after discovering a child inside a truck alone at the Harbor Freight store.
