NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE, ENGLAND (THECOUNT) — Benjamin Satterley, the professional wrestler known to AEW fans as PAC, has died at age 40, according to All Elite Wrestling, in a stunning announcement that came less than 24 hours after he wrestled and made multiple appearances during AEW’s biggest show of the weekend.
AEW announced Satterley’s death Sunday night, remembering the Newcastle upon Tyne native for his innovative high-flying style and in-ring ability. The promotion did not disclose a cause of death or provide additional details surrounding his passing.

Satterley’s death came just one day after he competed at AEW All Out in Chicago. PAC challenged Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship during the pay-per-view’s opening match.
PAC lost the championship bout but shook Andrade’s hand afterward before later returning to the ring during the night’s main event.
He became involved in the AEW World Championship match between Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay, making his final known appearance in front of AEW fans just hours before the announcement of his death.

AEW did not indicate that Satterley was experiencing any known medical issue before his death, and no information about what happened was immediately released.
Satterley began his professional wrestling career in 2004 and spent more than two decades competing internationally. Before joining AEW, he became widely known to WWE fans as Neville.
During his WWE career, Satterley won the NXT Championship and became a two-time WWE Cruiserweight Champion. His high-flying style earned him a reputation as one of the company’s standout performers in the division.
Satterley signed with AEW in 2019 and became the inaugural AEW All-Atlantic Champion. He also won the AEW World Trios Championship twice during his AEW career.
His AEW career included championship runs and prominent rivalries with some of the promotion’s top wrestlers. He was also a member of the Death Riders faction alongside Moxley and other AEW performers.
The timing of Satterley’s death was particularly striking because he had been actively competing for AEW only hours earlier. His appearance at All Out included both his championship match and his later involvement in the main event.
AEW expressed condolences to Satterley’s family, friends and fans but did not provide a cause or circumstances of death. No additional information about his death had been publicly released as of Sunday night.
