MIDDLETON TWP., OH. (THECOUNT)David Bell, 35, of Wellsville, Ohio, was killed Monday night when the motorcycle he was riding crashed in Middleton Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Bell was traveling southbound on State Route 7 on a 2008 Suzuki motorcycle when the bike went off the right side of the roadway shortly after 9 p.m., investigators said.

The motorcycle struck a guardrail and overturned. Bell was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the investigation remains ongoing.

The Negley Fire Department, EMS and the Columbiana County Coroner’s Office assisted state troopers at the crash scene.

Middleton Township is located in Columbiana County in eastern Ohio, approximately 50 miles southeast of Cleveland and about 35 miles west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
