TULARE COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — Kurt Worton Jr., of Reedley, California, has been identified as the suspect arrested in the Sunday fatal shooting of a woman in Tulare County.
Worton, 38, allegedly shot and killed a woman early Sunday morning in Dinuba.

According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired in the area of North Alta Avenue and Davis Drive in Dinuba around 2 a.m. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene of gunshot injuries.
During the investigation, officials say police were able to identify Worton as the suspect. He had already fled the area.
At some point, deputies from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office located Worton’s vehicle and attempted a felony traffic stop. Worton refused to pull over and a short pursuit ensued.
The chase eventually ended and Worton was arrested and booked into the Tulare County Jail on one count of murder.
