SUSSEX COUNTY, DE. (THECOUNT) — Sidney Wolf, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck Sunday by a vehicle in Sussex County, Delaware.

‘Sid’ Wolf, 43, was killed after he was struck by a vehicle while visiting Dewey Beach early Sunday morning.

According to reports, six individuals were being transported by a Lyft driver, when a disagreement occurred
and the driver demanded the group exit his vehicle on Coastal Highway/ Route 1 in Dewey Beach around 1:40 a.m. Sunday. As the group exited the vehicle, Wolf was struck by another vehicle that was avoiding the Lyft vehicle.

The involved vehicle remained at the scene.

Wolf was pronounced deceased at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.

The other 5 passengers were not injured after exiting the Lyft vehicle.

The operator or the Lyft vehicle has not been identified yet and the case remains under investigation
