PHOENIX, AZ. (THECOUNT) — Michael Anthony Groth, of Phoenix, Arizona, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle-versus-bicycle collision Wednesday night in Maricopa County.
Groth, 61, was killed after he was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night in north Phoenix.

According to officials, Groth was operating a bicycle on Hatcher Avenue, near Glendale Community College, when he was struck by a Toyota Corolla operated by a 26-year-old woman around 11 p.m Wednesday.
The Toyota driver and a 25-year-old passenger were uninjured in the collision.
Groth was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver remained on scene and was evaluated for impairment. Possible charges are pending, according to police.
The investigation into the cause of the collision remains open.
