LUFKIN, TX. (THECOUNT) — Diboll, Texas, musician, Austin Christmas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal head-on vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler Monday night.
Christmas, 27, died in a head-on collision on Highway 69 just outside of Lufkin, Texas Monday night.

According to officials, Christmas was operating a Chrysler on Highway 69, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 8:10 p.m. Monday night. The vehicle then collided with a semi-tractor head-on.
46-year-old Jairo Rodas, of North Carolina, has been identified as the truck driver. He was uninjured in the violent crash.
Christmas was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause crash remains under investigation.
