COVINGTON, LA. (THECOUNT) — William Manos Asprodites, of Bush LA, has been identified as pedestrian fatally struck by vehicle in St. Tammany Parish Tuesday night.
“Bayou Billy” Asprodites, 71, was killed after struck by a vehicle on LA-21 northbound near LA 59 in Covington Tuesday night, according to Louisiana State Troopers.

Investigators say, Asprodites was on-foot in the northbound lanes of LA-21 when he was struck by a Ford F150 pickup truck around 11:30 P.M. Tuesday.
Asprodites was wearing dark clothing at the time of the fatal collision.
Asprodites sustained serious injuries and later succumbed to those injuries at an area hospital, reports WGNO.
As part of the investigation, toxicology is pending on Asprodites and will be performed by the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office.
The driver of the F150, who remained on-scene, was properly restrained and uninjured in the crash.
No one was cited at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
