JERSEY CITY, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Shannon Jane Flood, of Bloomingdale, New Jersey, has been identified as the victim fatally struck by a NJ Light Rail train on Christmas eve, according to Wednesday reports.
Flood, 43, was killed Tuesday on the NJ Transit Tracks at Exchange Place, according to the agency.

The agency identified the incident as a “trespasser fatality,” the terminology it uses when someone is struck and killed on the tracks, as pedestrians aren’t authorized to be there. The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail was suspended between Liberty State Parkway and Newport Stations, reports NJ1015.
Flood was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further information was provided by officials on the deadly incident.
