LEESBURG, FL. (THECOUNT) — Christopher and Jessica Smith, of Eustis, Florida, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal crash Christmas eve near Leesburg, according to Wednesday reports.
Christopher, 44, and Jessica, 35, both died and their two children were injured in a two-vehicle Tuesday crash in Leesburg, police said.

Their two children are being treated in Orlando. Their current condition was not provided.
According to reports, Christopher was operating a Toyota on FL-44 & Dozier Court in Leesburg, FL, around 8:30 p.m., when they were broadsided by a Dodge Ram pickup.
“The front of the Ram pickup collided with the right side of the Toyota within the intersection,” Leesburg police said in a statement Wednesday. “It is unknown at this time which driver had the green light for right-of-way,” reports MyNews13.
Jessica and Chris were both pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
A passenger in the pickup was transported with unknown injuries to the Ocala Regional Medical Center.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
