HUNTINGTON, WV. (THECOUNT) — Angel L. Johnson, of West Hamlin, West Virginia, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle in Huntington on Friday night, according to Saturday reports.
Johnson, 30, was killed after being struck by a vehicle while on-foot in the area of Interstate 64 in Huntington on Friday night.

According to officials, Johnson was walking on 5th Street, near Miller Road, in Huntington, when she was struck by a vehicle.
Johnson was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
Officials said the Huntington Police Department’s drug recognition experts responded to the scene to assess the driver and impairment was not a factor.
“No charges will be filed at this time, but that may or may not change once the crash reconstructionists have completed their investigation,” Huntington Police Chief Ray Cornwell said, reports HeraldDispatch.
The investigation remains open.
