MANKATO, MN. (THECOUNT) — Mankato Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two females who damaged a Front Street sculpture early Thursday morning.

The suspects took the baby art piece portion of the sculpture “Standing Mother with Baby” from the 500 block of Front Street around 12:30 Thursday morning. Police say the sculpture, which is irreparable, is valued at $5,500.

The Twin Rivers Council for the Arts and City Center Partnership are offering a $500 reward to anyone providing information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible, reports KEYC.

Mankato Police say damage to artwork can result in a felony charge.

Anyone with possible information on the woman should contact police at 911.
