HOPKINS, SC. (THECOUNT) — Marcus Anderson, of Columbia, South Carolina, has been identified as the bicyclist struck and killed late Saturday night in Hopkins, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Anderson, 30, was killed after he was involved in a collision with Subaru vehicle while traveling in Lower Richland Boulevard in Hopkins, SC on Saturday night.

The fatal collision occurred after 10:30 p.m. when the Subaru driver struck Anderson as he travel on a bicycle. Both involved parties were going south on Lower Richland, according to WISTV.
Anderson was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries consistent with the collision.
It is unclear if anyone was cited at the scene or if any charges are pending.
The deadly incident remains under investigation.
