GALLATIN COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Brooke Naylor, of Harrisburg, IL, has been identified as the missing teenager found dead from apparent hypothermia due to exposure to the elements, authorities reported on Saturday. She had been reported missing March 3.
Naylor, 19, was identified by Illinois State Police who say her body was found just after 5:30 p.m. Friday on Pot Hole Ln in Equality, Illinois, which is approximately 10 miles from Harrisburg.

The coroner’s office says Naylor died from hypothermia due to exposure to the elements, reports TristateHomepage.
Officials are waiting on toxicology reports, which could take several weeks.
Troopers say someone with a search team found the body.
Her abandoned vehicle was later found in an area crews had been searching.
The investigation is ongoing.

According to her Facebook page, Naylor worked at Morello’s Restaurant and Catering and studied at Southeastern Illinois College. She attended to Carmi-White County High School and is originally from Carmi, Illinois.
