SHREVEPORT, LA. (THECOUNT) — Louisiana man, Murray Massel, has been identified as the victim killed Saturday morning in a crash on I-20 in Shreveport.
Massel, 65, was killed while traveling in a truck on I-20 West near Bert Kouns Industrial Loop when the fatal crash occurred. Reports say the pickup truck collided with a tractor trailer, according to Shreveport Police.

The incident took place just after 2:45 am on Saturday morning. When officers arrived to the scene, they learned that 65-year-old Murray Massel was driving his 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck that rear-ended an 18-wheeler. Massel, from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, was killed on the scene, and the driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured. source
Investigators have not yet determined that cause factor that led to the tragic crash, but are working to find out.
An autopsy has been ordered at University Health.
The crash is still under investigation.
