The Oregon State Police and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s help in locating Mitchell Julio Morris, the suspect in a double murder.
Morris, age 20, is a white male and described as 5’3″, 150 pounds, and has black hair. Morris is believed to be driving a 1989 Chevrolet S-10 pickup. It is an extended cab and is red over black. The license plate on the vehicle of interest is Oregon 689EZV.

On February 26, 2016 at about 6:49PM, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received the report of a shooting that 9021 SW Sand Ridge Road in Crooked River Ranch.The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office along with the Oregon State Police responded to the scene and found two adults dead inside the home. A person in the area who had heard the gunshots witnessed a vehicle leaving the area. Law enforcement conducted an extensive search of the area as well as throughout central Oregon and expanding into the Willamette Valley area. h/t kezi
Morris is from the Polk County area and believed to have traveled there after the shooting. He is to be considered armed and dangerous.
The victims’ identities are being withheld at this time to ensure the families have been notified. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released when it becomes available.
