The incident recalls the September 20, 2025, death of Easley, 37, who was attacked by a tiger while performing with the animal at Growler Pines Tiger Preserve in Hugo, Choctaw County, Oklahoma.
Choctaw County Sheriff Terry Park told TMZ that Easley was handling the tiger during a Saturday show when the animal suddenly attacked him. The tiger bit Easley around the neck and shoulder area and violently shook him, according to the sheriff’s account. Deputies and paramedics responded after receiving a call at approximately 2 p.m., but Easley was pronounced dead a short time later.
Easley operated Growler Pines Tiger Preserve and had ties to Joe Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage and who became widely known through the Netflix documentary series “Tiger King.” Reporting after Easley’s death said he had acquired tigers from Exotic and others connected to the big-cat trade.
The two fatal attacks occurred in different circumstances: Easley was an experienced handler performing with a tiger, while the man killed Saturday in England was reported to have entered an enclosure at a wildlife park. Authorities have not announced a connection between the incidents beyond the involvement of captive tigers.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park is located near Doncaster in South Yorkshire, northern England. Its tiger habitat is part of the park’s “Land of the Tigers” attraction, which features a large enclosure designed for the animals.
