HARKER HEIGHTS, TX. (THECOUNT) — Kenneth John Irlmeier, 44, of Harker Heights, has been identified as the man found fatally shot Tuesday afternoon at Harker Heights Community Park in Bell County, Texas.
Harker Heights Emergency Services and police responded to the park, located at 1501 East Knights Way, around 4:31 p.m. Oct. 6 after receiving a report of an unresponsive male with a gunshot wound.

Officers located Irlmeier suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at approximately 5:35 p.m., according to police.
Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson pronounced Irlmeier dead at the scene.
Police said they believe the incident was isolated and that there is no threat to the public.
The Harker Heights Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the circumstances surrounding Irlmeier’s death.
