AR Man Joshua Silvar ID’d As Victim In Tuesday OK Fatal Motorcycle Crash

ADAIR COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Joshua Silvar, 25, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, has been identified as the man killed Tuesday evening in a multi-vehicle motorcycle crash on Highway 51 in Adair County, Oklahoma.

The crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. near South 4660 Road, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

OHP said Silvar was traveling westbound on Highway 51 on a motorcycle when he attempted to pass a westbound vehicle in a no-passing zone. Another motorcycle was also traveling westbound in the area.

As Silvar moved into the eastbound lane, his motorcycle collided with an eastbound vehicle.

The other motorcycle then collided with Silvar’s motorcycle as its rider attempted to avoid the initial collision. The rider of the second motorcycle also left the roadway while trying to avoid the other vehicles.

Silvar died as a result of the crash. The other motorcycle rider was injured, according to OHP.

Authorities have not released additional information about the injured rider or the driver of the eastbound vehicle.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Adair County is located in northeastern Oklahoma along the Arkansas state line, with Highway 51 running through the county and connecting communities including Stilwell and Westville. The crash occurred in a rural area near South 4660 Road.
