OH Man James Savage ID’d As Victim In Sunday Navarre Now-Fatal Harley Crash

BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, OH. (THECOUNT) — James Savage, 64, of Navarre, has been identified as the man who died following a motorcycle crash Sunday evening in Bethlehem Township, Stark County, Ohio.

The crash occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday along Fohl Road, just west of Kemary Avenue in Navarre, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Savage was operating a 2007 Harley-Davidson Road King westbound on Fohl Road when the motorcycle traveled off the side of the roadway, troopers said.

The motorcycle subsequently struck a guy wire and a culvert, causing Savage to suffer serious injuries.

Emergency crews transported Savage to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton for treatment. He died at the hospital Monday morning, according to the highway patrol.

Authorities have not disclosed what caused the motorcycle to leave the roadway. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

No additional injuries or other vehicles involved in the crash were reported in the preliminary information released by authorities.

Fohl Road is located in Bethlehem Township, a rural community in Stark County near Navarre and approximately 10 miles southwest of Canton. Bethlehem Township borders the communities of Canton, Perry Township, Jackson Township and East Sparta.
