RICHMOND, VA. (THECOUNT) — Ashtain Noel Davis, 28, of Petersburg, Virginia, has been identified as the motorcyclist killed Friday night in a hit-and-run crash on the ramp from westbound Interstate 64 to southbound Interstate 95 in Richmond, Virginia.
According to Virginia State Police, the fatal collision occurred between approximately 11:20 and 11:27 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, on the I-64 westbound ramp to southbound I-95.

Investigators said a dark-colored SUV struck Davis’ motorcycle on the ramp. The impact threw Davis from the motorcycle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. State police said Davis was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The SUV did not remain at the scene. Investigators believe the same vehicle may have also struck a Toyota Camry before leaving the area.
Virginia State Police are seeking information about the vehicle and its driver. Investigators believe the suspect vehicle may be a dark blue or black 2014 through 2019 Jeep Cherokee or Jeep Compass.
Police said the SUV may have minor damage to its front and rear ends and may be missing a mirror as a result of the collision.
The vehicle description is being released as investigators work to identify the SUV involved in the fatal hit-and-run. No driver has been publicly identified in connection with the crash in the available information.
