SLOCOMB, AL. (THECOUNT) — Ozzie Bradley, 55, of Enterprise, was killed Wednesday evening in a single-vehicle crash at a Slocomb intersection, according to Geneva County Coroner Donny Adkinson.
Slocomb is a city in Geneva County in southeastern Alabama, near the Florida state line and approximately 25 miles southeast of Dothan. The crash occurred at the intersection of Highway 104 and Geneva County Road 91.
According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 5:53 p.m. Wednesday. Bradley was operating a vehicle when, for reasons that have not been released, it left the roadway and struck a tree.
The collision caused Bradley to be ejected from the vehicle, according to Coroner Adkinson. Bradley was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances leading up to the vehicle leaving the roadway have not been disclosed. Authorities have not reported that another vehicle was involved in the crash.
Emergency personnel from Slocomb Police, Slocomb Fire and Rescue and the Geneva County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency also assisted at the scene.
No additional injuries were reported in the available information.
The circumstances surrounding the fatal crash remain under investigation. Authorities have not released additional details regarding the vehicle Bradley was driving or what may have caused it to leave the roadway.
