PINSON, AL. (THECOUNT)Alyssa Michelle-Rose Moody, 24, of Trafford, Alabama, was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash at a Pinson intersection, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.

Pinson is a city in Jefferson County in north-central Alabama, approximately 15 miles northeast of Birmingham. The fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 79 and Bethel Road in Pinson.

Authorities said the crash occurred at approximately 8:49 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12. Moody was identified as the driver who died in the collision.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office reported that Moody died at the scene shortly after 9 a.m.

The available information does not identify the other vehicle involved in the crash or indicate whether anyone else was injured. Authorities also have not released information regarding what led to the collision.
