LAKE VIEW, IA. (THECOUNT) — Dr. Rylie-Shea Muhlbauer, 27, of Manning, Iowa, was fatally shot Sunday inside a residence on East Shore Drive in Lake View, according to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation. Authorities arrested Joshua Lehman, 27, of Shenandoah, and charged him with First-Degree Murder in connection with the fatal shooting.
According to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Sac County Emergency Communication Center received a 911 call at approximately 10:27 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, reporting a shooting at a residence on East Shore Drive.

Officers with the Lake View Police Department and emergency medical personnel responded to the home, where they located Muhlbauer deceased.
Investigators said Lehman was taken into custody following the incident and charged with Murder in the First Degree, a Class A felony under Iowa law.
Authorities have not released information regarding the relationship between Muhlbauer and Lehman, however, Facebook posts show they were a couple. According to her Facebook page, Muhlbauer was a doctor of chiropractic who had recently relocated from Kansas and was now the owner of Higher Up Chiropractic in Manning, Iowa. Lehman is an active fitness trainer (JLstrength) who competes in Strongman competitions.
Investigators have not disclosed a possible motive in the deadly incident.
No additional details surrounding the shooting have been released.
The investigation is being conducted by the Lake View Police Department, the Sac County Sheriff’s Office, the Sac County Attorney’s Office, and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and no additional information was immediately available. A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
Lake View is located in Sac County in west-central Iowa, approximately 100 miles northwest of Des Moines and along the shores of Black Hawk Lake.
